What is Collagen Type II and what does it do?

Collagen is a fibrous protein obtained from the skin, tendons, cartilage, bones and connective tissue of animals and fish; it is referred to as the cement which

holds everything together. However, in this product, we only use the collagen that is derived from fish.

Hyaluronic acid lubricates joints and helps with joint movement, and may be used as an adjunct treatment to NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) and other painkillers.

 

Regular supplementation of hyaluronic acid has been shown to result in gradual improvements in patients’ JKOM (Japanese Knee Osteoarthritis Measure) scores over a 12-week period.

Wynn-Wright’s formula with Active Non-Denatured Fish Collagen Type II is derived from salmon, making it one of the finest sources of Type II Collagen available. It is more absorbable than bovine, porcine or chicken sources and may be preferred for health or religious reasons.

 

Also, being derived from fish are free from diseases such as BSC (Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy) and Avian Influenza (H5N1). Other farmed animals have also been linked to other highly contagious diseases.
