Healing virtues

Wynn-Wright has tapped the bees’ veritable goldmine of health – the hive – to bring you Royal Reserve, a preparation of fresh royal jelly and pollen-intact clover honey.  Small as they are, bees possess the uncanny ability to provide some of the most nourishing foods for our consumption.

Royal Jelly

Royal jelly or the “milk of the bees” contains 22 amino acids, 6 of which are essential to life and cannot be produced by the human body.

It also comprises the entire B group of vitamins and 10 hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10H2DA) that has antibacterial properties and acts as a preservative.

Many have tried to combine all the vitamins and amino acids in the laboratories yet cannot duplicate the same effects of natural royal jelly, as approximately 3% of royal jelly’s components are currently unknown.

However, what we do know is that cell rejuvenation and growth - including the process of re-epithelialization - have been attributed for the most part to the antibacterial peptide, defensin-1, which holds immense therapeutic potential.

The effect of royal jelly on the queen bee holds profound implications for its benefit to humans.

For those who take it regularly, its actions seem to be systemic, thus suitable as an all-round tonic in the maintenance and of general health and well-being.

Regular doses of fresh royal jelly, bee pollen and honey produce results in normal, everyday pursuits and increase the body's resistance to physical and mental fatigue, while also possibly retarding the effects of general ageing, due to the high amount of vitamin B5 or pantothenic acid in fresh royal jelly.

Bee Pollen

Bee pollen is rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids, possessing properties which are known to be useful for coughs, colds and influenza.

Bee pollen is also known to enhance the metabolism and off-set the effects of toxins, pollutants and drugs.

honey

Honey has long been respected as an energy-giving food and for its healing  characteristics.

Vitamins, minerals and enzymes contained in honey make it easily digestible,
and a quick source of energy.

Furthermore, the hygroscopic qualities of honey accounts
for some of its antibacterial properties, as bacteria thrives on moisture.
