Canned Abalone

Wynn-Wright also produces abalone packed in 425-gram cans. Our quality is never compromised, as only freshly caught abalone is used. Moreover, our production standards meet the stringent guide lines set out by the Australian Department of Primary Industries for the production of canned abalone. The sulphur dioxide used in production does not exceed 30 ppm.

Our canned abalone is exported mainly to Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
Wynn-Wright's canned Australian abalone comes in two grades – standard and premium.

Dried Abalone

Our long experience with the Asian market has shown that there is a high demand for dried abalone. Our main export market consists of Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan.

We have been successful in drying the shellfish to a high quality so that it retains less than 4% of the moisture. This allows the dried meat to be stored with very little care.

The meat, after drying, retains a good 'head' and a rich golden to dark amber colour.

This highly prized product comes packed ranging from 25 pieces per kg pack to the more expensive 8 pieces per kg.

Frozen Vacuum-Packed Abalone

Wynn-Wright is renowned for its production of freshly frozen abalone. The abalone comes packed in its shell or as un-bled meat.

The deep seas around Tasmania produces the best-quality abalone meat. Australian freshly frozen abalone is available all year round.

Arrangements have been made with airlines and shipping companies to transport the frozen abalone meat which is much sought after by food connoisseurs around the world. Most of our frozen abalone meat finds its way into Japan and Singapore.
